Studio Liddell

Iris Nation Manchester commissioned us to produce a series of print images showing Adidas' latest Tech-Fit sports support vest. The brief required us to create images that showed high profile sports stars wearing the product in their respective sporting arenas.

We were provided with photography of the football star 'Kaka' as a base to work from, also supplied was a new crowd scene for the background. We carefully removed Kaka and the shirt he was wearing from the original shot, and using a studio shot of a model wearing the Tech -Fit product we blended the new image into the Kaka shot, adjusting and digitally manipulating it to match the footballers body shape.

A keen eye for detail and careful retouching was required on key areas such as the Tech-Fit vest, the arms and the shirt that Kaka is holding, in order to match the stadium lighting and ambiance of the original shot.

The penultimate step was to extend the background image, add in the extra players and drop in the retouched Kaka image in the foreground.

Finally, a dusting of 'noise' FX was then added to create depth of field within the image to add a dynamic feel that really makes Kaka and the product stand out.
