Skoda are a car brand that has performed a remarkable about turn in recent years. They now produce some hot and sporty rides so we were delighted to get involved with the green meanie, the Fabia vRS!

Overview

The "Lovely or Mean" online campaign devised by London's Archibald Ingall & Stretton, was an extension of the Fabia "Made of lovely stuff" ad spots that featured the famous cake car. The introduction of the flagship Fabia vRS prompted a campaign dubbed "Made of Meaner Stuff". Our challenge was to create a high-impact online experience that showcased the lovely & mean models, we jumped at the chance!

Creating photo-real CG models of the cake car and the vRS, we brought them to life in lovely and mean environments featuring swirling candy lollies, waving gingerbread men and jelly on the lovely side to snakes, lazers and flames on the mean side. Interactive hot spots were authored into the experience triggering action packed animations picking out USP's for each vehicle.

Alongside the microsite, accessed through the main Skoda site, AIS also devised an innovative Facebook campaign for which we created a series of animations that encouraged consumers to interact with the vehicles and have their friends vote whether they are lovely or mean. Participants were in with a chance of winning a brand new Fabia or Fabia vRS.

vRS animations

A series of animations that forms an interactive piece for Skoda's Fabia vRS microste. Each animation is actuated by the user clicking a hotspot authored into a 360 rotation of the car. Each hot spot highlights a USP of the Fabia and the Fabia vRS.
