Studio Liddell

Studio Liddell and Chapman go way back and after producing the great CGI animation for their shows Fifi and the Flowertots and Roary the Racing Car, Chapman asked us to recreate that magic and develop the Little Charley Bear iphone app. They wanted a truly bespoke app that would both appeal to pre-schoolers and stand out in an increasingly competitive market.

Our experience and understanding of character development meant we got to know Little Charley Bear very quickly and began working with Chapman to develop the perfect app.

Using a combination of show footage and creative game play, we were able to develop a great interactive app which captured the essence of the show...imagination! A modern twist on a conventional shape sorter style game meant the pre-school audience were both familiar and excited by the game, offering them a chance to get even closer to their favourite character by helping Little Charley Bear on his adventures. In addition we ensured the nature of the game lent itself to regular updates in order to hold its popularity.

Once launched, the game rocketed to number 3 in the kids charts in its first week and featured in the ‘whats hot’ list on itunes, receiving great reviews from happy parents.
