With a studio full of petrol heads, we were very excited to be approached by the magazine and web publisher responsible for the holy grail of car buying... Autotrader.

We were invited in for a coffee, and quickly learnt that Autotrader were on the cusp of creating a lovely new website - www.autotrader.co.uk. At the same time they wanted to revise their brand character, Auto. After presenting some test animations using the previous iteration of Auto and showcasing our 15 years of experience in character design, animation and illustration we were successfully invited to become became part of the team.
Working with the new character guidelines devised by agency HMDG, we got busy creating a new 3D model of Auto. The first animation we created was used internally to promote the launch of their new Autotrader TV commercial.
Subsequently we have gone on to create a whole range of still character poses which currently appear in online and print campaigns. Our Auto character poses continue to pop up all over the internet in third party advertising spots.
We had lots of fun creating a 20 second spot in which the hapless Auto delivers a humourous animated Christmas 2010 message to all of Autotraders on-line registered users. The client were so happy that we were briefed to create the 2011 version also, please see our News section for the animation.
We are proud to have an amazing working relationship with Autotrader, and we love working with one of the most recognised brand characters in the UK.
