Animation UK
Under the Animation UK banner, a host of UK animation producers are lobbying the government to secure the same production tax breaks as seen in countries including Canada, Ireland, Singapore etc.
Studio Liddell have joined a host of other prolific animation production companies in the fight for fairer trading conditions for the UK market. The hope is that we can stop the IP & talent drain to overseas territories that we are currently experiencing. The UK is widely regarded as the leading originator & producer of animated content but without tax credits we're at an unfair advantage.
Studio Liddell's contribution to the fight was to design, build & host the Animation UK website that contains the current news updates and the detailed report Animation UK commissioned to highlight the unique set of issues the UK animation industry is currently facing.
Spearheaded by our friend Oli Hyatt from Blue Zoo, Animation UK has made some great steps forward and has had some very productive meetings with the UK government who it seems are starting to take notice of our plight and the potential for the industry to grow, provide jobs and stimulation to the economy.
